This is my third action project for my Spanish class throughout my senior year. In this class, I've grown in mastering the basics of Spanish and further growing in having some conversations in Spanish. The purpose of this action project was to create a quitapena doll. I was instructed to sketch out what I want my quitapena doll to look like, then create it using either yarn, fabric, piper cleaners, tape, glue, or paper. The purpose of this action project is to break down the vocabulary on clothing, colors, and fabric to say what the quitapena doll is wearing and discuss what emotions it can take away. I learned about different materials for clothing, the clothing in Spanish, and reviewed the colors in Spanish as well. I didn’t find anything too challenging with this action project. I enjoyed creating the quitapena doll aside from almost burning myself with the hot glue gun when wrapping pipe cleaners around the body of my doll. I am the proudest that I have created a quitapena doll for myself for the first time. I hope my quitapena doll will inspire you to create one as well! Thank you for visiting my blog!
The sorrow doll wears an orange hat, a red sweater, green pants, and blue gloves. His face and body are made from cotton cloth. His clothes are made out of pipe cleaners with a wool texture.
